UAH recognizes the academic success of new transfer students by offering three-year transfer scholarships. No separate scholarship application is required. Students who submit an application for admission and official transcripts from all previously attended colleges are automatically eligible for consideration.

Scholarship Eligibility

Students must be seeking their first bachelor鈥檚 degree, must not have previously attended UAH, and must maintain full-time enrollment at UAH to be eligible for consideration.

2026-2027 Transfer Scholarships

Minimum GPA 3 3.5
Transferable College Credit at least 12 credit hours at least 12 credit hours
Amount Awarded Annually for 3 years $1,500 $3,000

If your GPA increases once we receive your final transcript and it puts you in a higher scholarship bracket, we will automatically upgrade your scholarship. New and upgraded scholarships will not be awarded after the official add/drop date for full-term classes each semester.

Competitive Scholarships

UAH's Competitive Scholarships are available to transfer students as well as current students. They are funded by individual or corporate endowments, and their disbursement is overseen by the Scholarship Division of the Office of Financial Aid. August 1 Competitive scholarship application available
December 15

Deadline for priority consideration of competitive scholarships (student must be admitted).

January-April Competitive scholarship application review

Once a Competitive Scholarship application has been submitted, changes can only be made by contacting the Office of Financial Aid.
