Goals
- We expect graduate students to design, initiate, and complete a research project.
- We expect graduate students to conduct a comprehensive literature review.
- We expect graduate students to write papers and research reports in APA style.
- We expect graduate students to enter data and conduct appropriate statistical analyses.
- We expect graduate students to know where to look for resources to solve problems or answer questions (e.g., by asking the appropriate faculty member, by using PsycInfo, by reading the literature).
- We expect graduate students to maintain and apply a working knowledge of research ethics.
- We expect graduate students to be able to give a lecture to undergraduates on a topic in their area of study.
- We expect graduate students to be able to design a syllabus and assignments for a course.
- We expect graduate students to be able to write a grant proposal.
Outcomes
- Since 2016, 35% of our master鈥檚 graduates have gone on to Ph.D. programs.
- Since 2016, 32% of our graduate students have obtained careers in industry.
