糖心原创出品 (UAH), a part of The University of Alabama System, has announced Leidos has made a gift of $25,000 to the 糖心原创出品 of Engineering. The gift continues to highlight the strong and long-standing partnership between the Leidos Dynetics team and UAH that has been ongoing for several decades.

"Leidos & Dynetics Group are a true model of partnership between a research university and a corporate entity,鈥 says Dr. Shankar Mahalingam, dean of the College of Engineering. 鈥淥ur association transcends our individual associations with our respective organizations, and that is a true testament to a legacy partnership."

This latest contribution will support the Dean鈥檚 Excellence Fund in the College to help meet the needs of engineering students and faculty by funding projects and initiatives aimed at advancing engineering research and education.

鈥淟eidos is proud to contribute $25,000 to UAH鈥檚 College of Engineering Dean鈥檚 Excellence Fund,鈥 says Steve Cook, president of Leidos Dynetics Group. 鈥淭his donation is a testament to our commitment to fostering strong partnerships and collaboration with UAH and the Huntsville community. We believe this contribution will serve as a catalyst for continued teamwork between Leidos and UAH, as we work together towards a shared goal of advancing technology and innovation.鈥

The partnership seeks to develop technologies to make the world safer, healthier and more efficient through shared engineering and science endeavors. One of the key areas of collaboration between UAH and Leidos Dynetics is in the field of aerospace engineering to develop advanced technologies for space exploration, missile defense and other critical national security missions. This gift will continue to aid the development of new systems and technologies that will significantly impact the aerospace industry and further national security efforts.

鈥淲e recognize the importance of donating to strong academic institutions like UAH,鈥 Cook adds. 鈥淥ur hope is that this donation will help spur new research initiatives, support students and faculty, and drive progress in areas that are critical to our nation鈥檚 future. We look forward to the continued long-lasting relationship with UAH and contributing to its continued success.鈥

In addition to the technological benefits, the collaboration will also provide Leidos with the opportunity to invest in a talented pool of students and young professionals to supplant the next generation of engineers and scientists.
