Written by: College of Nursing October 19, 2018 Congratulations to Dr. Marsha Howell Adams, dean of UAH鈥檚 College of Nursing, and Dr. Azita Amiri, assistant professor of nursing, who were both honored at this year鈥檚 Alabama State Nurses Association鈥檚 Annual Convention, held October 6-7 at the Auburn Marriott Opelika Hotel & Conference Center. Dr. Adams received the 2018 Outstanding Nursing Administrator Academe or Service Award, and Dr. Amiri received the Outstanding Advocate of the Year Award. "I am so honored to be recognized by the Alabama State Nurses Association for my administrative accomplishments in academe," says Dr. Adams about being selected. Sharing that sentiment, Dr. Amiri adds, 鈥淚 am so grateful to be able to serve the environmental justice communities in Alabama and so delighted that ASNA values these efforts.
