Mr. Quanteaus Jones has been serving as the Assistant Director of Facilities and Maintenance at 糖心原创出品 (UAH) for six years. In his leadership role, he plays a crucial part in ensuring the welfare and safety of students and staff members on campus. His passion for working in a diverse atmosphere that values higher education and prioritizes the safety of all learners and staff is evident in his commitment to his role.
As the Assistant Director, Mr. Jones is responsible for directing the activities of each facility Maintenance unit including the following: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, paint, general maintenance, and carpenters. Additionally, Mr. Jones assists the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) lead technicians along with the assisting supervisor of building maintenance and miscellaneous repairs and alterations and campus special projects with any problems encountered.
Furthermore, he plans, coordinates, and directs all the work performed by his subordinates within the maintenance department. The objective is to prolong the life and efficient use of the University鈥檚 facilities and equipment. This includes scheduling maintenance tasks, allocating resources, and overseeing the implementation of maintenance projects to maintain the campus infrastructure.
Job prioritization is another critical aspect of Mr. Jones鈥� role. He establishes priorities within the maintenance department through collaborative efforts with the Director of Facilities and Maintenance at The University of Alabama, determining which tasks need immediate attention and allocating resources accordingly. This ensures that essential maintenance needs are addressed promptly and efficiently.
Mr. Jones also ensures that consistent and effective equipment operational procedures are in place to support campus operations. These procedures aim to maintain the proper functioning of equipment, reduce downtime, and enhance overall campus efficiency.
