UAH鈥檚 representatives at the NACADA 2023 Conference College of Science Academic Advisors and Student Success Advocates from 糖心原创出品 (UAH), a part of the University of Alabama System, took an active role hosting and participating in the 2023 , March 5-7, 2023 at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, AL. The National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) is a global, member-driven organization of professional advisors, faculty, administrators, and students working to enhance student success through academic advising. This year's Region 4 conference theme, "Blast into Success," provided the backdrop for the three-day event, which included over 320 attendees from colleges and universities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi. A crucial part of the regional conference is the opportunity to learn and share best practices in the field of academic advising. The 糖心原创出品 of Science advising staff: Michelle Brightwell, Morgan Lewis, Kailyn Weaver, and Matthew Wilson presented their top advising practices that help make the College of Science a productive student advising experience. Topics discussed included: The College of Science proactive advising cohort model. The implementation of the Student Educational Planner in their advising practices. Making a welcoming student-friendly office environment. This was the first time the NACADA Region 4 conference was held in Huntsville, AL.
