Primary Contact Information in Banner

UAH imports certain information from Banner into Rave Alert, including a "Cell" number, if stored in the "Permanent Mailing Address" section of Personal Information within Self-service Banner.

To update your primary contact information, please visit .  To add a primary cell phone for emergency calls and/or texting:

For students:

Under the STUDENT SERVICES heading, click on PERSONAL INFORMATION in the Student Records section. Then select "Update Addresses and Phones." Under the 鈥淧ermanent Mailing Address鈥 heading, click on the hyperlink to update the 鈥淐ell鈥 phone number or insert a new one by selecting the 鈥淐ell鈥 option from the drop down screen at the bottom of the page.

For faculty and staff:

Under the EMPLOYEE SERVICES heading, click on PERSONAL INFORMATION in the Self Service Main Pages section. Then select "Update Addresses and Phones."  Under the 鈥淧ermanent Mailing Address鈥 heading, click on the hyperlink to update the "Cell" number or insert a new one by selecting the option from the drop down box at the bottom of the page. Please note that if your office phone number is not correct, you should update that information by logging into https://apps.uah.edu and accessing the 鈥淒irectory鈥 tab.

Additional Contact Preferences

You may add additional contact preferences, such as land-line phone numbers, additional mobile devices, and family member phones by using the Rave Alert portal at .  Use your Charger ID (single sign on) credentials to access the portal.  

You can add cell numbers, land line phones, and additional email addresses through the portal.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!  Unsubscribing from UAH emergency notifications will prevent you from receiving important life-safety and emergency alerts and situational update messages from the University.  By unsubscribing, you are indicating you do not wish to receive this information. 

Please note that your official UAH email address cannot be removed from UAlert or the portal.  UAH requires that all official university email accounts be enabled to receive emergency alerts.
